A huge crowd of Dragonica players, both experienced veterans and fresh newbies descended onto E2MAX @ The Cathay on the 27th of June 2009 to attend the official Dragonica Launch Party.

Everyone was eyeing the goodie bag, available to both existing players as well as new registrants, which contained a random limited edition poster of one of the 4 Dragonica classes as well as a special code that gave players a 4-star EXP boost potion, and a long queue soon formed outside E2MAX @ The Cathay that snaked its way towards the lift landing.

It was just as crowded inside E2MAX, with players using the free play areas to show off their skills and equipment to their friends or just to group up to level up or fight against bosses like Lavalon. There were also various in game competitions being held at E2MAX with huge crowds gathered behind the terminals to spectate the various contestants, checking out the various skills and tactics they would be using to get through the various contests.
The contests kicked off with the GX Combo Challenge that saw contestants attempting to achieve as high a combo as possible within 3 minutes. The winner, a hunter, achieved a whopping 2000 plus combos, with the closest competition no where close. The contest moved on next to the Team PVP Challenge where teams of 5 fought each other in the arena. Finally, there was the Swift Attack Leveling Race that saw teams of 4, using level 1 pre-made characters to fight through the first mission.
All the while, a healthy crowd was observing from both behind the players as well as on 3 TV screens that was showing off the action from one of the player’s terminal. While all this was going on, there were various events that saw players winning webcams if they purchased $60 worth of iCash, a sure win lucky dip and a very exciting Dragonica Auction. The most sought after item was the Good Lavalon Heart, which saw a starting bid of $100 iCash right at the start, before finishing off at $200 iCash by the very same person who started with the $100 iCash bid.

Many Dragonica players stayed on to the very end, just for the lucky draw that rewarded winners with both in-game items as well as real prizes sponsored by Razer. After that, the prizes for the various in-game contests that were held that day were given out, with winners walking away with valuable in-game items as well as Razer merchandise.
The winners for the Team PVP contest is Storm, who are part of Guild DreamZ on Kaye server. The winner for the Swift Attack Leveling Race is Infinity from Guild Infinity on Elga server and the winning combo contestant is Cafz from Kaye server.
